PersatuanindoNews.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), inaugurated 76 students as members of the National Flag Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka) for the year 2023, in a ceremony held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (August 15, 2023). The Paskibraka members are from the 38 provinces across the country.
"With the blessings of Almighty Allah, today I inaugurate the national flag hoisting troop that will serve at the Merdeka Palace on August 17, 2023. May the Almighty God bestow grace and ease in carrying out their duties for the nation," said the President, who acted as the ceremony's patron.
The following are the names of the Paskibraka members from the 38 provinces who were inaugurated and will serve in the Commemoration Ceremony of the Proclamation Moment and the Flag Lowering Ceremony on August 17, 2023:
- Aceh: Raihanah Az Zahra and Al Fathir Rayan Pratama;
- North Sumatra: Davina Anis Raisha and Nabil Arya Barata Lubis;
- West Sumatra: Afifah Rinra Putri and Alfin Alfarisi;
- Riau: Kezia Maruny Paramitha and Kelvin Ramahenda;
- Jambi: Auranisah Izati and M. Gibran Haffiyan Faza;
- South Sumatra: Keyla Azzahrah Purnama and Bintang Wirasatya RA;
- Bengkulu: Mutia Azzahra and Samsuar Alamsyah;

Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, the 5th President of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Admiral Yudo Margono, and the Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
